Busy much…

recently been spending my time not really doing much creative work, more just sorting bits and bobs out for examination and the like! boring?.. yes, but unfortunately something that needed to be done.

i have on the other hand been aiding design work with our end of year show, which will be up soon (18th june) so i should have a lovely booklet and a website to show off soon! so stay posted for that!!

i love justice and caught their dvno video (finally!) the other day.. and its the tits. so here it is. enjoy.

Final Prints

Got loads of business cards done with my final prints and along with my final prints they turned out great!! so happy right now its unreal… finally some prints worth the money i paid for them and the lovely print lady was very complimentary of my designs so happy days! (excuse the dodgy photo… off my fone)

promo / viral video

as iv made a fair few graphics for this project iv started putting them into after effects to create a promotional video that could possibly used a viral add or something. And i must say it has gone quite swimmingly… not used after effects for a while so in the beginning i had a lot of frustrating moments where a few choice words were used but iv pulled it round and curbed my language.

the identity side of things

i rather like making things look neat and tidy and presentable… no forms of ocd or anything i just like to make things look good. so business cards and letter heads and the like are pretty good fun. and when uv already got a logo to work with, all it takes is a pinch of creativity. and i reckon iv probably got that. so err… heres a lovely little display.

test flyers

Went to a local printing establishment and got my flyers done, which i thought was fantastic until i witnessed how poo they were… good job it was a test run as i will not be using the print shop again. anywho here they are.

The website is up and running… finally! had a lot of beef with servers and such and after a lot of fiddling around i have susuquibar.com this marks a great day in F.M.P history. actually learned some new bits a little PHP, the code login section of the site was quite fantastic and surprisingly easy, but tell anyone i said that i dont like code. site updates will of course be an on going thing but check out the bad boy. click.

a poster break-through

I have it!.. Finally after what seems like 5 long dark miserable years trapped in a small basement i have come up with what is to be my final poster to be split into flyers. YES!! it encompasses everything i wanted; a slight japanesey feel with youth and excitement and something that makes you get interested. good times!

Logos, logos, logos.

Was not happy with the outcome of my attempt at a lovely swirly neat logo, so iv gone back to some thing a bit more ‘Joey-esk’! The new designs are thicker bolder and stand up much better than the other one. Im very pleaded with how simple and still striking they are.

Willing Shops

Clothes shops Repertoire and Richmond Classics are going to put my flyers up as well as tattoo shop The Sharp Practice and Zavvi. i think this has turned out well as its a good range of shops and they are spread out well enough but not too much if you see what i mean.

Ok, so i wasnt happy with the first but iv been plugging away and coming up with different designs and bits and bobs to fit in and im definitely moving in the right direction. Still don’t think this will be my final piece but heyho thats the way it go(es).
